This page describes the rules for using Garagehood, for meetings shared on the platform, and our policy against inappropriate content and behavior. By using Garagehood, you agree to these rules.

Garagehood is a hobby project with no separate legal entity behind it, see our privacy policy for the details. That doesn't change these rules: they apply to everyone who uses the platform.

Using the platform

You're responsible for your account and for what you post on Garagehood. That means:

You're 16 or older — younger users aren't allowed, see 'Age' in our privacy policy
You use one account, your own, and keep your login details secure
You don't post illegal content, and don't use the platform for illegal purposes
You don't harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
You don't impersonate anyone else, and don't spread spam or unsolicited advertising
You respect other people's copyright and privacy in everything you post

Meeting rules

Meetings on Garagehood come from organizers themselves or from external sources. We don't organize them and aren't responsible for how they play out. For everyone attending or organizing a meeting:

Organizers are responsible for the accuracy of the title, location, date and description
Follow the law and any local rules at the meeting location, see our meeting guide for known venue rules
Respect other attendees, neighbors and venue owners — no noise disturbance, dangerous driving or damage

We can remove meetings that violate these rules, or whose organizer misuses the platform.

Content and behavior

You're responsible for the photos, messages, reviews and other content you post. Content that's illegal, spreads hate, glorifies violence, or is posted without someone else's consent (photos, personal data) isn't allowed.

We can remove content that violates these rules, and suspend or remove accounts that violate them repeatedly.

Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE)

Garagehood strictly prohibits any child sexual abuse material or exploitation (CSAE).

Users can report inappropriate content or behavior directly in the app.

Reported content is reviewed immediately, and offending accounts are terminated.

Enforcement

If you violate these rules, we can remove content, temporarily suspend an account, or permanently remove an account — for serious violations like CSAE, without prior warning. See 'Settings → Account management' for how to deactivate or delete your own account.

Liability

Garagehood is a hobby project that brings together meetings, locations and profiles from our own and external sources. We don't review content in advance and aren't liable for user behavior, how meetings play out, or any resulting damage. Use of the platform is at your own risk.

Changes

We update these terms as the platform changes. The date at the top of this page shows when we last did.
